Sorbet Spoils

I love body butters, shower gels and all things pampering but I’m totally obsessed Sorbet‘s range with their gorgeous packaging, delicious scents and value for money.  I’ve always been drawn to their pink products which is also their firming range as the Pomegranate and Grapefruit smells amazing – so fresh and fruity – hence why this post is all pink. So here’s a run down of my current stash of Sorbet spoils:

Sugar Scrub:
I’m probably on my third tub of this amazing scrub and it is hands down my favourite exfoliator.  This scrumptious scent is good enough to eat and I love how I can walk into my bedroom later on and still smell the fresh, fruitiness that lingers in the air. What I love about this scrub is that it is gentle but really effective and it leaves your skin feeling super soft and silky.  The oils in the scrub nourish and smooth your skin so I often don’t put a moisturiser on after using it – especially in winter when it’s so cold but I try to up my game now that it’s Spring and pop on some body butter.

Body Butter:  I have used a few ‘firming’ products before and to be honest, I have absolutely no idea if they are actually doing anything firming (at least not noticeably anyway) but that’s generally not why I’d buy a moisturiser – I’m all about how it makes my skin feel and the fragrance. This is a thick, creamy body butter which packed full of nourishing ingredients such as Omega 3, fatty acids and Cranberry Oil but it’s not one I use every night as it does leave a bit of a residue (which I guess isn’t unusual with body butters) and fragrance on your clothes so I generally stick to using it when I’m doing a proper pamper and use a normal moisturier on a daily basis.  It is fantastic after a day in the sun though! This uplifting body butter retails for R43.00 for a 250ml tub.

Hand and Nail Cream: This is great for popping in your bag and it’s a fast absorbing yet nourishing cream that restores and renews but doesn’t leave your fingers slipping all over your keyboard after applying it! A hand and nail combo is always a win because you getting the best of both in one tube. This 75ml is just R30 from Sorbet or Clicks.

Body Wash: Gentle and refreshing with a softer scent than the sugar scrub.  It’s a gel consistency that gives you a lovely lather of foamyness – one of my everyday shower gels.  Also containing Rooibos, Cranberry Oil and Q10, it’s full of beneficial, age-controlling ingredients. A 200ml is R33.00 so definitely one to stock up on.

Foam Bath: I’ve only used this once or twice as I don’t often bath – I’m sure this will change once we’ve renovated our guest bathroom though as there is nothing better than a hot bath, glass of wine and a good book! When I do bath though, there must be bubbles and lots of them.  This soft, fruity smelling, cleansing and rejuvenating foam bath gives you lots of fluffy bubbles and leaves your skin feeling silky smooth. R40.00 for 500ml.

Nail Polish Remover: I’ve never been fussy with my polish remover, provided it takes my polish off easily but the winner with the one – the salon pump!. It’s also fragranced with Geranium oil so it doesn’t have that pungent acetone smell and also feeds and strengthens your nails.  R40.00 may seem a lot for polish remover but for a 250ml bottle, you getting more than double a regular brand, so it’s actually quite a steal.

‘Hot Pink’ Polish: I chose this colour when I went for a pedicure and loved it so much, I went back and bought it.  It’s a bright neon, eye-popping pink (you could quite possibly see my toes from the moon) and it’s definitely going to be a regular for me this summer.  An easy application but does needs three coats to be fully opaque. At R80.00 each, Sorbet polishes are easier on the pocket and they have growing range of colours with fabulously fun names to choose from.
