Sorbet Nail Collection

To say I had major #FOMO about missing the launch of Sorbet’s Nail Collection is an understatement! Now, I will acknowledge that I was being a bit of a brat since I was trotting around Toronto at the time, but when the event was held at the Inner City Ideas Cartel Rooftop Bar in Cape Town’s CBD, complete with a bubble machine, bubbly and manis to boot, who can blame for not wanting to miss out?? It also meant I missed a sneak peak at Sorbet’s AH-mazing new range of polishes, so I have been patiently waiting for them to arrive in store so I can get in on the action!

What am I so excited about? Well, the new Sorbet Nail Collection has just made it’s debut in Sorbet and Clicks stores nationwide and includes not one but three lines – Sorbet Glam Effect, Sorbet Long Wear and Sorbet Pro Gel Effect. The Glam Effect offers a fabulous mix of 12 dazzling metallics, Long Wear which features 54 colours providing fast-drying, longer-wear of up to 6 days and Pro Gel Effect complete with 42 long-lasting gel-effect polishes that together with it’s enhanced top coat, dries with a more chip-resistant finish for you to enjoy for up to two weeks. With the collection totaling an impressive 108 (yes, 1-0-8), there really is every kind of polish for every kind of girl for any kind of occasion!

And I’m not done just yet – there’s still more choice within the Long Wear Collection which boasts two gorgeous, contrasting limited-edition collections, Soft Serve (think creamy, soft, romantic pastels) and Tropical Splash (bright, eye-popping, hot tropical shades that bring heat and sexy poolside glam), both with 10 different shades to choose from. Each new collection has the option of a regular 15ml bottle or a mini 5ml bottle which is so perfect for your handbag or if you can’t choose from all the beautiful colours (and who can blame you??) the minis are perfect purchase to try out more than one before selecting your favourites!

Both Sorbet and Clicks have a some fabulous specials running until the 30th November which definitely can’t be missed! Sorbet Society members will receive 15% off Sorbet manicures when when you book for a new Sorbet Long Wear, Glam Effect or Pro Gel Effect mani. If you purchase a new Sorbet Collection Nail polish from Clicks, you can stand a chance to win one of three Sorbet shopper experiences for you and three friends! PLUS, Clicks is running their annual 3 for 2 special until the 24th December and there are some gorgeous Sorbet gift sets available which make for the perfect Christmas spoil (just look out for the items marked with the purple present).

I popped into Sorbet just in time to take full advantage of their 3 for 2 special and the biggest challenge I faced with this new range was actually selecting my colours but after circling the stand enough times that it was getting awkward, I finally settled on two Long Wear (Marry Me and Slumber Party) and one Pro Gel (Petal for your Thought) I decided not to get the top coat now as I have the Essie Gel top coat and wanted to rather spoil myself with more colours – but it’s on my list and Christmas is just around the corner! I then went back and grabbed three mini bottles from the limited edition collections  Pinko-Colada (from the Tropical Splash collection), Psst-Achio and Just Peachy (both from the Soft Serve collection). I was thrilled to see that some of the colours from the old range have made it into the new collection too – Hot Pink and Melting Moment are two of my favourites 🙂

These pocket friendly polishes are the absolute show-stopper of the season and a must for every girl!

* Glam Effect – R90
* Long Wear – R90
* Minis – R30
* Pro Gel – R110

I‘ll be sure to post a full review on my selected polishes, from colour, application and wear as soon as I have a chance to give them a proper test run but one big plus for me is the new brush – it’s a thicker, paddle brush which makes application a dream! This week I’ve been enjoying Marry Me on my hands (such a beautiful soft, pastel lilac-pink) and a Petal for your Thought pedi (bright, super shiny and oh-so-chic!)
