Environ Skincare products were the very first products I ever used on my skin, way back when I first started taking notice of my skin. My mom always stressed the importance of looking after my skin and it’s something that’s always stuck with me. And while I have always looked after my skin – I wash my face twice a day, wear sunscreen, drink lots of water and never go to sleep with my makeup on – I certainly haven’t escaped my fair share of skin hacks. When Beauty Bulletin selected me to be part of the Environ #FocusOnFlawlessSA campaign, I was over the moon excited to try their brand new Focus Care Range.
After a long winter, pregnancy, breastfeeding and sitting on the other side of 30, my skin is in need of some serious TLC. Hello dehydration, fine lines and pigmentation – not a great combination to be sporting but there are ways to improve the problem. Environ recently unveiled their brand new premium range of skin care products which are specially formulated which intelligent ingredient combinations to target specific skin conditions. The two products that I will be testing out are the Focus Care Youth+ Range which focuses on smoothing and strengthening aged skin and Focus Care Moisture+ Range which focuses on hydrating and nourishing dehydrated skin.
Environ Skincare was founded in 1990 by Dr Des Fernandes, a renowned plastic surgeon and is now a globally recognised skin care brand. After extensive research, Dr Fernandes discovered the essential role that Vitamin A plays in our skin’s health and from there he pioneered the use of vitamin A in Environ’s unique Vitamin Step-Up System (those of you familiar with Environ will know the mositurisers step up from levels one to four, from Debut through to Ultra). Vitamin A remains a cornerstone ingredient in Environ products and along with antioxidants, peptide and other nutrients, it is the first step in normalizing skin to help it become healthier and more resilient.
Focus Care Youth+ Revival Masque: This “facelift in a jar” is specially formulated with a revolutionary combination of three powerful Alpha Hydroxy Acids which assist with enhancing the skins overall look and feel as well as resilience. This masque helps to minimize the appearance of uneven skin tone and promotes the skins natural skin hydration. The ingredients work together to combat sun damage, sagging skin and rough texture to boost resilience giving skin a smoother, more youthful appearance. The masque is a multi-tasking masque that can either be applied for 10 – 20 minutes or as an advanced overnight treatment masque. The masque comes with a nifty little brush which makes for easy application. Given the nature of this masque and the Alpha Hydroxy Acids, it is hugely important to apply sunscreen while using it and limit sun exposure for at least a week after (I apply sunscreen on my face every day in summer) as it may increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun and possibility of sunburn.
Focus Care Moisture+ Vita-Antioxidant Hydrating Oil Capsules: These capsules deliver a concentrated boost of of hydration to target dry, dull skin. Together with their blend of retinol and antioxidants, they work to protect the skin against the damaging effects of free radicals and combat the visible signs of aging. These powerful little pops really pack a punch and assist in enriching the skin with natural surface oils, leaving it refreshed and energised. The hit of hydration moisturises the skin, giving it a radiant, revitalized glow and soft, silky after-feel. These capsules are so easy to incorporate into your skincare routine – simply apply the contents of one capsule to your face and neck after cleansing your skin, add to your moisturiser or apply over your night cream. These gel capsules have a simple twist off top which makes application quick and fuss free. I can’t wait to try these ones out!
As a beauty blogger, I have tried out lots of different skincare products and always share my honest feedback with you after testing products for a minimum of 2 weeks (I usually like to test for a month before doing a review) This time, I’ll be doing things a little differently and sharing my journey with you as I go. Over the next few weeks I’ll be posting on my Instagram, Instastories and here on the blog so make sure you are following to keep up with my progress 🙂
