This year was a big one for Schwarzkopf with the iconic brand turning a massive 120 years! What I loved most about Schwarzkopf’s 120 year celebration was the launch of their #createyourownstyle campaign which commemorates 120 years of hair passion, creativity and individuality. Schwarzkopf launched their new Gliss Intense Therapy with OmegaPlex which uses revolutionary Keratin bonding technology to repair the delicate bonds of the hair, repairing from within, giving you healthier, more resilient hair. The new range of shampoo, conditioner and masks focuses on damaged hair as a result of flat ironing and heat styling and reconstructs the hair from deep within to leave it stronger, healthier and more manageable.
While I have quite a lot of hair, it is really thin and fine and knots easily which results in a fair amount of breakage. It’s quite wavy and gets pretty wild and thanks to years of highlighting, it has a tendency to go frizzy and dry. I’ve been using Gliss Intense Therapy with OmegaPlex for a few weeks now and I’m really enjoying how my hair feels after using it. I’ve noticed a definite improvement in the frizziness and it’s a lot softer and shinier. As I’m still keeping my showers short (Cape Town, don’t forget we still have water restrictions!) I alternate between using leave-in conditioner and ‘normal’ conditioner so I haven’t used the Gliss Intense Therapy conditioner as much as the shampoo but I am still impressed with how my hair feels. It also has a lovely, fresh fragrance that isn’t too over powering but I can still smell the freshness the next morning.
